Honolulu
Honolulu is the capital and the most populous city of the American state of Hawaii, coinciding in area with the County of Honolulu and occupying the entire island of Oahu. It was founded in 1845.
Tourism
Honolulu has many options, and it takes much more than a month to see and do everything in the city. Most people passing by in Hawaii imagine coconut trees, white sand beaches, and hula-hula dancing. However, aside from the pleasant climate and spectacular scenery, Hawaii is also history, culture, admirable economy, great vocational courses and colleges, outdoor activities and an active nightlife. That is, an ideal location for students who wish to enjoy American education in an international atmosphere.

With beautiful islands, beaches, lots of sunshine and surf, Hawaii, the fiftieth state of the US, has the most wanted and visited capital of tourists, Honolulu, a true paradise located on Oahu Island. The cosmopolitan landscape of the island, with its urbanized beaches and skyscrapers by the sea, would hardly fit the imagination of those who dream of a tropical Hawaii, quietly isolated in the immensity of the Pacific. Port of entry for most tourists, Oahu is where, even at the airport, people are toasted with a fragrant necklace of flowers - orchids or plumeria - called "lei".

But the capital, Honolulu, the only great city of the archipelago serves only as a counterpoint to the surfers' mecca that occupies the other side of the island.

In the south, shopping malls, oriental temples, fine restaurants, and luxury hotels cluster among the grand buildings that crown the glamorous Waikiki beach, guarded by the crater of an extinct volcano known as Diamond Head.

In addition to Waikiki, Honolulu also boasts the historic center of the islands, where the memories of the ancient Hawaiian monarchy still shine, a friendly Chinatown with its porticos filled with exotic products, and the bustling fish market. A few miles away, Pearl Harbor tells another story, a Hawaii already attached to the United States as its 50th state.

The island's calm north brings together simple inns, craft shops and seaside restaurants that warmly welcome surfers and backpackers.
Gastronomy
Modern Hawaiian cuisine is a fusion of many cuisines brought to the Hawaiian Islands by immigrants of various ethnic groups, especially North American born Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Korean, Polynesian and Portuguese, including herbal ingredients and imported animals from all over the world. Many local restaurants serve the ubiquitous mea'ai bread, two tablespoons of rice, a simplified version of American noodle salad (composed of noodles and mayonnaise) and various accessories such as burger, fried egg and crazy mucus sauce, tonkatsu style Japanese or traditional Pig Kalua favorite.
Climate
Due to a location close to the Equator, Honolulu has a tropical climate, with high temperatures even at the height of winter, between January and February, the coldest months of the city. In winter, temperatures reach 27 ° C per day and are rarely below 20 ° C at night. Although not very cold, it can happen that the temperature drops a lot, as in January 1969, when the temperature dropped to 11 ° C in January, so far the lowest temperature ever recorded in the city. In summer, the maximum temperature can exceed 30 ° C and the minimum temperature is 23 ° C. Although August is the hottest month of the year in the city, the highest temperature was recorded in September 1994, on the 19th, at 35 ° C. The average annual temperature of the city is 25 ° C.
